Trunk Bay, a St. John, US Virgin Islands’ icon, is the setting that inspired my oil paintings for this show. Through my 27 years of immersion, observation and reflection while in and around Trunk Bay, the people, birds, land and sea are personalized through light, mood and color harmonies. Interpretation can be impressionistic towards expressionistic, depending on how I internalize the image based on my feelings and emotion.
